I’m quite embarassed to admit that have actually seen Power Rangers: The Movie. I’ll put this down to the young age of my cousins at the time. Back in the day I too used to watch Power Rangers, but this was the original power rangers. I thought it was pretty cool when the green Power Ranger came along to help out with his extra super powers. However, it soon became apparent that in order to keep kids buying more merchandise, an extra super duper Power Ranger had to be invented every school term.

So by the time my little cousins were watching, we had been through the Green Ranger, the White Ranger, the Thunderzords etc… and my cousins rolled their eyes when I didn’t realise that these days we had Power Rangers Turbo Zeo Double Decker Mach 3. Gone were the days of simple putty bashing, now you needed a golden power coin to defeat the grey foes.

One thing that I don’t miss about the old Power Rangers is the annoying little robot that goes “Aye Aye Aye” at every juncture.
