The Yogi Bear cartoons were on in the early 90’s and whilst I remember them, I don’t remember much. Yogi, and his best friend Boo Boo, lived in Jellystone National Park stealing “pic-a-nic baskets” off holiday makers.

The original cartoons were around in the 1950’s and every decade thereafter. Park Ranger Smith would occassionally arrive to tell them off but Yogi always thought that he was “smarter than the average bear”. Cindy Bear, was Yogi’s girlfriend and sometimes showed up.

Yogi’s personality and mannerisms were based on Art Carney’s character, Ed Norton, from The Honeymooners. Jellystone Park was based on the Yellowstone National Park in the USA. There was also a famous baseball star at the time of the first Yogi cartoons called Yogi Berra.
