The Chipmunks
The cartoon series that most of us will remember ran from 1983 until 1990 and was a US production. The popular 80′s cartoon “Alvin and the Chipmunks” – featured the Chipmunks as a band with Alvin as the popular, good-looking one, Simon as the intellectual and Theodore as the cute baby-faced brother. Dave was their animation father/manager and they sang for very little purpose thoughout the decade. There was a film made about “the boys” in 2007, but I thought the animation was rather eery and I was far too old to watch something like that at the cinema. The Chipmunks actually began as a series of songs released by their creator in the fifties and sixties -winning the makers Grammies for their engineering efforts. Here’s their best-known intro.

I grew up watching the ’80s cartoon series of Alvin and the Chipmunks on TV. They first debuted and became popular when my parents were still very young. I’ve seen all the movies on them that came out recently and sure like the movies a lot.
