Teenage Mutant Hero/Ninja Turtles

Donatello, Michaelangelo, Raphael and Leonardo -the heroes in a half shell. Their mentor Splinter is a mutated rat and Shredder and Brains their enemies. Owing to the controversy surrounding whether these cretins were Heroes or Ninjas I have left the title ambiguous for now. Now all together:

Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles

Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles

Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles

Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles

Heroes in a half-shell

Turtle Power!

April in her yellow jumpsuit was a source of inspiration for all precocious young girls and the Ninjas themselves encouraged large numbers of young boys to swing makeshift weapons around the living room.

For those who grew up with the cartoons, the slightly darker film reflected the growing maturity of the fans. Deep in the sewers, with water and darkness all around, Splinter sacrifices himself for the heroes.

My personal favourite was Donatello because he wore purple and fought with a wooden pole -which was way cooler than the nunchaku in my opinion.

  1. Once upon a time in Harrogate, when two young chaps were taken by their parents to see the film of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, one father walked about five metres ahead of the mother and the two boys. Why?

He was too embarrassed to be near the said sons, who were leaping in the air and kicking their feet like Ninja Turtle Heros and generally messing about.

Who was one of these likely lads? None other than the originator of this web site. Out of embarrassment grows great things later.

This is a true story by an eye witness.

    The end.
