Sylvanians

http://www.sylvanianfamilies.com/index.phpThose little mice and hamsters that lived in windmills and houses. I remember the little green plastic beds that had so many details, down to the mini-mattresses. You could collect all sorts of stuff for them, I even picked up some tiny minature tins of food to stock them up. Somehow, the mini animals were way cooler than dolls houses -which were a bit 1960′s. For the modern girl, it was ok to practice home-making with hamsters -not to pretend with people.

My older cousin had all the best pieces and houses. The height of my Sylvanian collection, was when I had two houses full of furniture and mice. They even had little dresses and outfits. The windows opened and there was a stove. The best bit, though, was how tiny and cute the baby Sylvanians were.
