Sharky and George

Sharky and George was originally a French Canadian animation that was then translated into English. The two fishy detectives solved underwater crime, Seacago style. The show is full of marine puns on everyday words -like Silly-Clam Valley (instead of Silicone Valley) and Dr Jake Eel and Mr Crab (instead of Jekyll and Hyde). I particularly like the way the fish detectives have classic crime-busting 1920’s accents. Watch the intro and short episode above.

Lyrics

All you scoundrels, all you filth,
Sharky moves fast and is not kidding.

Gangsters, hoodlums, thugs and robbers,
George gets there and crime gets clobbered!

Chorus:

Sharky and George, crimebusters of the sea,
Sharky and George, clear up any mystery.

So watch your deeds, all you crooks,
George is an expert with micro hooks,
Multiple capers in the sea,
Sharky makes sure they dont go free.

Sharky and George, crimebusters of the sea,
Sharky and George, clear up any mystery.

The Jekyll and Hyde episode (Jake Eel and Mr Crab)

  1. [...] Voiced by Will Smith and featuring Christina Aguilera in the soundtrack, this is a kid’s film in the vein of Finding Nemo and Sharky and George. [...]
