Saved By The Bell

The original series of Saved By The Bell ran from 1989 to 1993 and there were a whole host of spin-offs, including “Wedding in Las Vegas” and “The College Years” though Saved By The Bell is perhaps most memorable for its slightly caricaturish portrayals of ‘prepies’ (Zach) ‘geeks’ (Screech) and jocks (Slater).

This series seemed to go on forever, probably due to the fact it ran on Channel 4 in the UK for about 8 years on weekends and throughout the summer holidays.

Screech was definitely the best character and the main reason behind most of the new versions they kept on rolling out – he was there for “The College Years” and somehow hung around for “The New Class” too!
