Pinky and the Brain
Pinky and the Brain were two scheming mice that wanted to take over the world in a tried and tested slapstick fashion. Like a nicer version of Ren and Stimpy, this Steven Spielberg classic was humourous for adults and children alike.

The asthmatic chihuahua, Ren, has a domineering relationship with Stimpy the cat, who follows him everywhere (despite being regularly subjected to abuse) -hence the parallels with the much tamer Pinky and the Brain.
