Coupled with circular sunglasses, white jeans, a curtain hairdo for the boys and Kickers for all, Lime Green Shirts shouted Blur vs Oasis and no more Berlin Wall. Middlesbrough is home to all of the remaining lime green shirt brigade, often sporting the kickers with popper trousers tucked into their socks. Its like a time warp going to work every day!
Unfortunately we had hand me downs – skin tight jeans were our bag – the skinny look has funnily enough come full circle. However, I remember I had some speccled black trousers for school – awesome.
It’s good to know that Lime Green Shirts still survive in pockets around Britain. However, their survival is still threatened.
